The spring cacophony of frogs, birds and everything else that sings echoes out across the valley announcing the season of rebirth. We are just 3 days away from the official commencement of my favorite season. Shoots and buds are appearing around every turn and we're up to 12 hours of sunlight per day now!

I went for a walk up the mountain yesterday and here are some shots of the scenery along the way.

Shedding off the old...

I don't know what these large shoots are, but they are unfurling out of the muck and hang out near the creek where the spring peepers have been singing their hearts out.

There are old fences falling down around the property. I imagine they used to keep cows contained in certain fields.

Spring gives us water in places we don't see it the rest of the year.

Looking out over the southwest of the valley from my favorite pine forest.
